We began life at the trainees session of the EFORT Congress in Lisbon 2005.
At the outset, our aims are the following:
- Friendship and fellowship
- Outreach to orthopaedic surgeons (trainee and consultants), links with industry
- Reference point for Orthopaedic Training matters
- Exchange of ideas and communication
Because of the diverse training systems in Europe we have decided to work on two levels. At the top is a true Federation, where national trainee bodies subscribe. At the grass-roots level, individuals can sign up too.
